Yogachariya Jnandev (Surender Saini), was born into a typical Hindu family. He grew up under the guidance and blessings of his virtuous parents, loving and caring two brothers and a sister. This gave Jnandev a strong foundation for a yogic, ethical and moral lifestyle. He has also been greatly influenced by his late Nana (grandfather), who was a great bhajan singer and spiritual storyteller. He encouraged Jnandev to read the Ramayama, Mahabharata and other Hindu epic stories. This planted the seeds of spirituality, Hinduism and yoga in Jnandev’s young mind.

• Yogachariya Jnandev's name and title was given to him by his Guru Ammaji Meekashi Devi Ji as part of Gitananda Yoga initiation.

• For Jnandev, Yoga is a lifestyle, and Hatha Yoga is a little but important part of it.
