Immerse yourself in authentic Sanatan Yoga at Gurukula, Portugal. This 200-hour intensive teacher training combines traditional yogic wisdom with modern anatomy, physiology, and holistic health practices.

This transformative program is designed for yoga practitioners, aspiring teachers, and wellness professionals seeking a deep understanding of Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga), Yoga Therapy, Yogic Philosophy, Lifestyle, and Bhakti practices.

What You Will Learn:

1. Hatha Yoga

  • Daily two sessions of Kriyas, Asana, Mudras, Pranayama, and Yogic Relaxation

  • Led by Yogachariya Jnandev, senior Sanatan Yoga teachers, or students to develop teaching skills

  • Learn Practice intensive Hatha Yoga sets targeting:

    • Digestive system

    • Skeletal system

    • Pelvic health

    • Overall well-being

    • Body, mind integration

  • Includes Vinyasa, Sun Salutations variations, Enhance Breathing, Polarity and Shiva Shakti balance, classical Pranayama, and relaxation techniques

2. Yoga as a Lifestyle

  • Learn to integrate yogic principles, diet, daily routines, and mindfulness into modern life

  • Holistic approach to health, happiness, and self-awareness

3. Ashtanga Yoga (Raja Yoga)

  • Detailed study of Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga

  • Explore Yoga Philosophy, Ethics, Meditation, Concentration, Pranayama, and Samadhi

  • Learn applications from contemporary and ancient yogic scriptures

4. Yoga Class Planning

  • Teach practice sessions with real-time feedback

  • Develop teaching confidence, sequencing skills, and student engagement

5. Bhajans & Mantra

  • Daily sessions with Jnandev and other lead Sanatan Yoga Teacher at Gurukula

  • Experience Bhakti Yoga for mental, emotional, and spiritual purification

6. Cleansing Practices

  • Learn techniques like Jala Neti, Bhastrika, Kapalabhati, fasting, and Hatha Yoga cleansing kriyas

  • Support physical, pranic, mental, and emotional balance

 

7. Mauna (Silence)

  • Evening silent reflection after Satsanga

  • Integrate knowledge and practice of the day

8. Yoga Anatomy & Therapeutic Applications

  • Understand human anatomy, physiology, and yoga therapy

  • Apply modifications and corrections to support student needs

9. Karma Yoga

  • Daily service assignments to cultivate discipline, humility, and selfless action

Typical Daily Schedule (Guideline)

  • 6:00 – 6:30 AM: Quiet sitting & Hatha Yoga with Yogachariya Jnandev

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast

  • 9:00 AM: Karma Yoga / Community service

  • 10:00 AM: Free time

  • 11:00 – 12:30 PM: Pranayama & Yogic Relaxation

  • 12:30 PM: Collective cooking & lunch

  • 4:00 PM: Yoga Theory

  • 5:00 PM: Hatha Yoga & Teaching Practice / Corrections

  • 6:00 PM: Supper

  • 7:30 PM: Bhajans & Mantras

  • 8:00 PM: Satsanga

Sundays are free after morning Hatha Yoga. Enjoy the beautiful countryside of West Wales for reflection and leisure.
